Workshop: "Public Procurement of innovation - lessons learnt from the Portuguese participation in Horizon 2020 PCP Projects"

On December 2021, ANI organised the “Public Procurement of Innovation– Lessons learnt from the Portuguese participation in Horizon 2020 (H2020) PCP Projects” workshop, that follows on from the “Public Procurement of Innovation – Portuguese experience in H2020” workshop, held on March 26th 2019.
This event, which forms part of the training activities of the project SATDAP – Support System for the Digital Transition in Public Administration, is aimed at strengthening the dynamics and consolidating the community that has already participated and/or is currently participating in PCP -Pre-Commercial Procurement / and PPI -Public Procurement of Innovation projects under the H2020 programme.
The workshop aimed to:
- share the activities promoted by ANI in the field of Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) and its involvement in the new Horizon Europe programme.
- identify the needs and challenges faced by public entities, as competitors in the Horizon 2020 programme, and buyers of innovation
- presenting the proceedings to promote national participation in the Horizon Europe PCP/ PPI were also themes that were explored.
The activities took place at ANI’s premises in Lisbon and seven organisations representing eight H2020 PCP projects were in attendance. ANI was represented by Luís Ferreira, Coordinator of the Innovation Policy Promotion and Monitoring Unit and head of the Public Procurement of Innovation project, Carolina Morais, Innovation Procurement Project Manager, Mariana Marques, Innovation Procurement Project Assistant and Alexandre Marques, National Contact Point for Legal and Financial Affairs and the European Innovation Council.
