2nd National Conference on Public Procurement of Innovation

ANI and IMPIC – Institute of Public Markets, Real Estate and Construction, organised the 2nd National Conference on Public Procurement of Innovation, under the theme “Valuing skills and experiences”, as part of the Competence Centre for Public Procurement in Innovation – Procure+i’s activities. The event took place on April 14th in the Mondego Room of the Convento de S. Francisco in Coimbra.

The event’s main objective is to convene the national community with an interest in learning more about the national context and practices of Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) in Portugal, in order to increase the level of national awareness of the subject, encourage and demystify the practice of PPI, publicise and discuss national PPI initiatives and the activities carried out by the Competence Centre for Public Procurement of Innovation – Procure+i.

This 2nd edition of the biennial conference aimed to bring together the national community of stakeholders on the subject, as well as contracting authorities involved in innovation contracts, seeking to publicise the activities, initiatives, projects, innovative solutions and public policies associated with the public procurement of innovation.

The initiative is the result of the partnership between ANI and IMPIC, under which actions have been developed to stimulate innovation through public procurement processes, namely the creation of the new Competence Centre for Public Procurement of Innovation, whose experimental implementation is supported by the SATDAP/ SAMA – COMPETE 2020 programme.
